Paul is an innovative and analytic specialist working with communities, organisations and institutions to inform, nudge and navigate adaptive change in complex situations. He is an expert in using SenseMaker® and the Cynefin Framework to map and explore patterns in the way people make sense of their lived experience.  Since 2013 he has carried out projects with up to 9,000 participants in Lebanon, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, South Sudan, USA and the UK.  All of these projects have built trust with participants and have heard their collective voice without being overwhelmed by the cacophony of individual voices.

Paul moved into this specialist area after 30 years' experience in financial management, business analysis, decision-support and programmatic change management in Unilever, Duracell, Coopers & Lybrand, Oracle and the UK National Health Service.
